Turkey Halts All Trade with Israel Over Gaza Conflict

Turkey has suspended all imports and exports to Israel in response to Israel’s ongoing military action in Gaza. Associated Press reports.

The Turkish Trade Ministry stated that the suspension covers all products and will remain in place until Israel allows an uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza. This move comes after Turkey restricted exports of 54 types of products to Israel. Israel’s Foreign Minister accused Turkey of blocking Israeli imports and exports from Turkish ports, prompting Israel to seek alternatives for trade.

Additionally, Turkey has decided to join South Africa’s legal case against Israel at the International Court of Justice, accusing Israel of breaching the Genocide Convention with its military offensive against Hamas in Gaza.
