Nvidia Announces New AI Chip GB200 Blackwell

Nvidia unveiled its new generation of AI chips named Blackwell during its developer conference in San Jose, promising more power and performance for AI tasks, with the first chip, GB200, set to ship later this year, CNBC reports.

The new chips offer significant performance upgrades, enabling AI companies to train larger and more complex models. The Blackwell-based processors will be available as servers through cloud services provided by major tech companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Oracle.

Nvidia also introduced revenue-generating software called NIM, enabling easier AI inference on older Nvidia GPUs and facilitating the deployment of AI models on various Nvidia chips, giving customers more reasons to stick with Nvidia chips.
