Ukraine Signs Security Agreements with France and Germany

Ukrainian President Zelensky signed 10-year bilateral security agreements with France and Germany, bolstering long-term support for Ukraine amid Russia’s ongoing war, Associated Press reports.

The agreements include significant military aid packages, including artillery and air-defense systems, totaling billions of euros, with France providing 3 billion euros and Germany offering 1.1 billion euros in aid. The agreements emphasize Europe’s commitment to Ukraine’s security and reform efforts, essential for EU and NATO aspirations.

Ukraine seeks continued US support, urging Congress to approve a $60 billion aid package amid resistance from House Republicans. Germany and France have also committed to increasing their military aid to Ukraine, demonstrating continued European support for Ukraine’s security.
