Ursula von der Leyen Named the World’s Most Powerful Woman in 2023 by Forbes

Forbes has released its 20th annual ranking of The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women, showcasing inspirational female leaders in various fields such as CEOs, entertainers, politicians, philanthropists, and policymakers, Forbes reports.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen secured the top spot for the second consecutive year, followed by European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde and US Vice President Kamala Harris.

Notably, American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift broke into the top five, marking the first time an entertainer has achieved this. Swift’s rise is attributed to her record-breaking global Eras tour, contributing significantly to the economy.

The women featured are recognized as builders, disruptors, and innovators across various sectors, reflecting a modern and forward-looking perspective on power.
