Hundreds of OpenAI Employees Threaten to Quit Unless Board Resigns

Hundreds of OpenAI employees, including co-founder and board member Ilya Sutskever, have signed a letter demanding the resignation of OpenAI’s remaining board members or they will join Sam Altman’s new venture at Microsoft, CNBC reports.

The letter criticizes the board’s actions and claims that Microsoft has assured the employees jobs at the new subsidiary. Around 667 people out of 770 employees have signed the letter, including senior executives like former interim CEO Mira Murati and COO Brad Lightcap.

Sutskever, who initially participated in Altman’s ouster, expressed regret for his participation in the board’s actions on X (formerly Twitter).
