Scarlett Johansson Takes Legal Action Against AI App

Scarlett Johansson has taken legal action against an AI app, Lisa AI: 90s Yearbook & Avatar, for using her name and likeness in an online advertisement without her consent, Variety reports.

The 22-second ad on Twitter, which has since been removed, featured an AI-generated image and voice imitating Johansson seemingly endorsing the app, which was created by Convert Software.

The ad included fine print stating that the images were produced by Lisa AI and not connected to the actor.

Johansson’s attorney, Kevin Yorn, stated that they would pursue all available legal remedies in response to the unauthorized use of her image and voice.
