EU Foreign Ministers Gather in Ukraine for Unprecedented Meeting Abroad

The foreign ministers of all 27 European Union member states held their first-ever meeting outside the EU’s borders in Kyiv, Ukraine, Al Jazeera reports.

EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell emphasized that Ukraine’s future lies within the EU and that this meeting signifies that commitment.

While EU officials have individually visited Kyiv during the conflict, this is the first official EU summit held in the Ukrainian capital.

French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna emphasized that the meeting sends a signal to Moscow that the EU will continue to support Ukraine.
