Erdogan Visits Putin in Sochi to Discuss Ukraine Grain Deal

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held talks in Sochi regarding Ukrainian grain exports, Al Jazeera reports.

The meeting comes two months after Russia exited a UN agreement brokered by Turkey to allow Ukraine to export grain from three of its ports.

Putin said that Russia is ready to resume the deal as soon as restrictions on its own agricultural exports are lifted.

The situation has disrupted global food supplies, particularly affecting developing nations in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
