Intel to Invest $4.6 Billion in New Chip Plant in Poland

Intel has announced it will invest up to $4.6 billion in a new semiconductor assembly and test facility near Wrocław, Poland, Reuters reports.

The move is aimed at expanding chip capacity and reducing Europe’s reliance on US and Asian suppliers.

The facility will employ 2,000 workers and create thousands of additional jobs during its construction phase.

Last year, the chipmaker announced plans to build facilities in Germany, Ireland and France.
