Russian Oil Exports at Record High Level Since Invasion

In April, Russia exported more oil than any other month since the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Financial Times reports.

Approximately around 80% of crude shipments are to China and India, according to the International Energy Agency.

Russia’s oil export revenues increased by €1.7 billion to $15 billion in April, up from $13 billion in March, according to IEA estimates.

Despite shipping more oil, Russia’s monthly oil export revenues were 27% lower than last year, partly because of lower global energy prices.
