On Sunday, Saudi Arabia and other major oil-producing countries agreed to reduce their oil production by over one million barrels, reports AP News.
The Saudi Energy Ministry said the decision was a “precautionary measure” with the aim to stabilize the oil markets.
The move could put further strain on US-Saudi relations as it is expected to raise the prices worldwide.
