Swiss authorities confirmed at a press conference that UBS will acquire Credit Suisse for 3 billion Swiss Francs ($3.23 billion), according to Reuters.
The Swiss National Bank (SNB) will guarantee a liquidity loan of up to 100 billion Swiss Francs to assist with the purchase.
Both banks will have unlimited access to the SNB’s facilities, where they can obtain the liquidity from SNB.
