ICC Issues Arrest Warrant for Putin over War Crime Allegations

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin over alleged war crimes in Ukraine, reports Al Jazeera.

The warrant was issued due to Putin’s alleged involvement in the unlawful deportation and transfer of children from Ukraine to Russia.

Russia has dismissed the move, but the warrant means that Putin could be arrested and sent to The Hague if he travels to any ICC member states.
