Poland to Send Four MiG-29 Fighter Jets to Ukraine

On Thursday, Polish President Andrzej Duda said the nation will deliver four fighter jets to Ukraine within a few days, reports Reuters.

The country has about 20 Russian MiG-29 planes that were taken over after the Cold War.

“Firstly, literally within the next few days, we will hand over, as far as I remember, four aircraft to Ukraine in full working order.”

– Andrzej Duda, President of Poland

The transfer would make Poland the first NATO member to provide fighter jets, following Kyiv’s appeal for warplanes.
