Switzerland Imports Russian Gold for First Time Since Invasion

Switzerland has resumed imports of gold from Russia for the first time since the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Last month, over 3 tons of gold were shipped from Russia to Switzerland.
Swiss customs registered and earmarked the imported gold for refining or processing.

However, the four biggest refineries in Switzerland, MKS PAMP SA, Metalor Technologies SA, Argor-Heraeus SA, and Valcambi SA, denied receiving the metal.

Together, the four firms handle two-thirds of all the world's gold.
The imported Russian gold accounted for 2% of all gold imports into Switzerland last month.
