Ukraine’s Zelensky Attends the G7 Summit in Japan

On Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Hiroshima to participate in the G7 summit in Japan, Al Jazeera reports.

US President Joe Biden announced a $375 million military aid package to Ukraine, including ammunition, artillery and armored vehicles.

Zelensky met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi who pledged to do “whatever we can” to solve the conflict.

However, Zelensky did not meet with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva due to a scheduling error.

On Saturday, Russia claimed to have captured Bakhmut with the help of Wagner Group mercenaries. Ukraine disputes the information.
